Hello, Hello, Hello

Hi guys! Just wanted to give a quick update, since I haven't been around for over a week. Christmas is kicking my ass. And on top of all the shopping/family/get-together/work stress, Chris works for a television show (and thus, has the next two weeks off), so we've been trying to get in as much face time as possible. I just don't think I'll have the time to finish off our 25 Days event. But, I'm going to try to think of something cute to put in its place that's just a little less time consuming.

I'm going to try my hardest to get a card update out in the next couple of days, but other than that I will probably be sparce until the new year. I'm hoping we can still do the Secret Santa stuff, and that you all wont mind it being a little late :)

Okay! First of all... the full High School Musical combo has been added, so feel free to use any of the sets associated with it towards your card worth this week. Same almost goes for the Harry Potter 6 combo. It's still missing the general deck, because I'm slacker and haven't chosen images for it yet. I'll either release it by itself mid-week or it will be included next week, but for now--you can use any of the HP6 sets added this week!

A couple of other quick things to mention. One being--Secret Santa assignments will go out this weekend, so if you'd like to participate and haven't signed up yet, make sure you do so! Sign-ups will close as soon as this weekends Extra Credit 25 Days activity goes up.

Second is, I know there are a couple of you either really close or already done with Hollywood Boulevard progression. I'm working on coming up with ideas and setting up pages for the Hall of Famer games. So, hopefully it'll all be done and ready to access by next week. I'll probably be setting up a separate form for you to send in as well, so go ahead and hold off on sending one in if you reach the milestone before I get it up. Oh, and also! I'll be adding a way to spend some of your money, so you wont just be sitting on it for no reason for the rest of eternity! Yay!

Lastly! We reached 400 decks with this update. Holy poop. That's a lot, right? Everyone may take our new events card in celebration. Here's to 400 more!

a little blabber

Hey guys! I forgot about a couple things I wanted to mention with the last update. That's what I get for uploading at four in the morning with 2 hours of sleep :p

First of all! I forgot to mention a deck/combo that was also finished. The Doctor Who combo was finished with the addition of the Season 3 DVD puzzle. Everyone may take one card from this set :) (Liz, you may take two!)

Secondly--there's a new Trader Set, which can be found here. The second set is going to work a little different, as they're achieved every 25 trades and I wont be providing stamp cards for them. Why? Because I'm lazy, to be perfectly honest. And it's probably easier to just keeping a running tally of your trades on your log somewhere than to have to edit an image every time you do anything. Eventually there will be a second form to fill out for this set, but for now--just use the old one. If you've already mastered the first set and want to count out your trades since then, you're welcome to send multiple forms in depending on where you're at in order to catch up.


donation changes

And lastly. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on some donation changes coming up at the beginning of next month. Starting on January first, we wont be allowing full combos to be donated all at once--and the allotment for monthly donated sets will be dropped down from fifteen... to three. I know that is a drastic change, but... if you have a second, go check out the image claim thread on the forums. There's still donations from August that haven't made it onto the site yet, lol. So hopefully a month or two at this new limited number will give us the chance to get caught up a little. And after we've dwindled down the list a bit--the allowed number of donations will go back up, but not to 10-15. It will probably stay at 3 for full, and then 5 for limited rewards. It was really nice to get the chunks of donations when we first opened and didn't have all that much of a variety of decks to choose from, but now that we're a little older--I think our selection is much nicer (I hope you do too!), and it's not as necessary.

So yeah! If you have any combos you were planning on getting in this month, make sure you do it--because I wont be accepting them after the New Year :)

I know it's kind of a pain in the butt to take choice cards from a thousand different decks... but I'm trying my hardest to clean up the Image Claims thread a bit, which means adding tons of combos. I'd appreciated any and every thought or criticism about the new Buzzwords set! Do you like it? Do you hate the bee? Do you (not)want to see another set like it? Help me out! :)

There were a couple of other things I wanted to handle while I had everyone here. First, is our new survey, which really isn't a survey at all. I was hoping to get some user submitted videos to add to some of the card pages--so if you find yourself with an extra second, there will be rewards waiting for you at the end!

The other thing I wanted to cover was our 25 Days of Christmas event that I had mentioned previously during our Thanksgiving event. There's already a slight delay on things (surprise, surprise!), but I put together a little explantion on how it will work, so we'll all be ready for it when it goes live! I warn you though... still getting over a wicked flu I was pretty much crippled with last week. So, if you think you hear some gross breathing noises... it's because I'm trying not to cough, and well--breathing grossly. :D

Game Updates: Thanksgiving Event!

Hey guys! Quick little update here. First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in the states! And a belated Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in Canada :) In celebration, everyone may take our new events card. And, while you're at it! Take one of our new layout cards as well!



There's a quick and cute little event for everyone to participate in, the link for which can be found over in the sidebar--where all of our events will appear as they happen. It's not very in-depth or anything, the games themselves should only take a minute or two to complete--but hopefully you'll have as much fun playing them as I did creating them! My favorite of which is the Turkinator gambling game. It took me forever to code and I was soooo happy when that turkey agreed to help! So I really hope you like it, because I'm super proud of it--and with how big a celebrity Turkinator is, we should all feel blessed by his guest appearance!

And as a small last bit of business, I preset you with our newest combo! I've been super obsessed with watching old Disney movies over again recently, and my favorite at the moment is Pocahontas. I felt as if it kind of fit in with the whole Thanksgiving feel... so voila!

If you surf around the Pocahontas pages a bit, you'll see I added some short YouTube clips to most of them. This is something I'm hoping to go back and add to a lot of the decks already on the site. I just think it's a fun kind of way to remind yourself why you like a show/scene/character so much! Maybe I'll ask for help and put a survey out on it, so you can send in some of your favorite scenes and clips too!
